Who we are
We pursue justice through advocacy, legal reform, institutional reform and cultural advocacy — so that the law serves the people it was written for.
The Anah Center for Social Justice is a non-governmental organisation based in Abuja, Nigeria. Our work begins where the law meets daily life: in courtrooms, in policy rooms, and in communities whose voices too often go unheard.
From enforcing fundamental rights to shaping reform, we combine legal expertise with sustained public engagement — convening national conversations and standing beside the people they are for.

National Colloquium
Five colloquia. One national conversation.
The Anah Center has hosted five Colloquia in Nigeria — bringing together jurists, scholars, policymakers and civil society to interrogate the questions shaping Nigerian justice.
Two of these gatherings led the national conversation on environmentalism and climate justice, well ahead of the agenda elsewhere.

Ms. Adaeze Anah
Executive Director
A lawyer of more than sixteen years' standing, Ms. Adaeze Anah leads the Center's work at the intersection of law, rights and public policy — from human rights enforcement to the national conversations the Center convenes.
Under her direction, the Center has grown into a respected voice on justice reform in Nigeria, with a particular commitment to those the system too often overlooks.
